The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team saw its winning streak snapped in a 12-10 loss at Coastal Carolina on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats had won two straight games and now stand at 2-6, whlie the Chanticleers improved to 3-3.

25:44 1st - Courtney Curtis (UC)
Curtis gave the Bearcats an early 2-0 lead when scoring on a free position just just over four minutes into the game.

19:15 1st - Morgan Gott (CCU)
Gott scored her second goal of the game to cap a 3-0 Chanticleers' run that gave the hosts a 3-2 lead.

14:09 1st - Courtney Curtis (UC)
Curtis scored for the second time with an unassisted goal to tie the game a 4-4. It opened a three goal run for UC late in the first half.

1:58 1st - Ashley Helmrath (UC)
Helmrath's goal with just under two minutes left in the first half gave UC five of the last seven goals in the period and put the Bearcats up, 7-5, at the break.

23:46 2nd - Keri White (CCU)
White followed a goal by Sara Nolan to give the Chanticleers the first two goals of the second half and tie the game at 7-7.

19:32 2nd - Sara Nolan (CCU)
Nolan converted a free position to cut Cincinnati's lead to 9-8 with just under 20 minutes to play. It opened up a 5-0 scoring run for Coastal which put the game away.

9:24 2nd - Keri White (CCU)
While Noal opened the pivotal run, White capped it with an unassisted goal that put Coastal up 12-9 with just under 10 minutes left. While the Bearcats did not allow another goal, UC only got one more from Curtis with 1:19 left to provide the final margin of 12-10.

The Bearcats return home to open a three-game home stand on Wednesday, March 18, when Ohio State visits Gettler Stadium for a 3 p.m. contest. It will be the first meeting between the only Division I women's lacrosse teams in Ohio since 2010 and will pit UC head coach Gina Oliver against her alma mater. Oliver was a three-time All-American for the Buckeyes while playing from 2002-05.
