CINCINNATI - In a match-up of the only two Division I women's lacrosse teams in Ohio, the University of Cincinnati women's lacrosse team dropped a 13-8 decision to Ohio State on Wednesday afternoon at Gettler Stadium.

24:25 1st - Dani Tunnell (UC)
Tunnel scored on a free position goal just over five minutes into the game to tie the score at 2-2. Ohio State netted the first two goals, followed by Del Bene and Tunnel's score. Tunnell would later tie the game at 3-3 with 21:20 left in the first half.
16:12 - Kelsey Ayers (OSU)
Ayers scored her first of three goals to open a seven-goal run by the Buckeyes. Ayers scored again just past the 10 minute mark and therun was capped on a Facchina goal with just 31 seconds left in the half.
0:13 - Ashley Helmrath (UC)
Ashley Helmrath (Ellicott City, Md./Maryvale Prep) netted her lone goal of the game just before the half to halt the Ohio State run and make the score 10-4 at halftime. Counting Helmrath's goal, Cincinnati would score five of the final eight goals of the game.
