The University of Cincinnati track & field programs closed out a successful opening weekend at the Disney Track & Field Open and the UCF Black & Gold Challenge on Saturday afternoon in Orlando, Florida. The Bearcats combined to garner 10 top-three finishes.

Senior Michael Nwankwo set a new career-best height in the men's high jump as he cleared 6' 9.5". His clearance came up one and a quarter inch shy of jumping into UC's all-time records book.
//STARTING THE SEASON LOW
Junior sprinter Kenya Woodall carried her indoor success to the outdoor track as she ran 11.65 in the women's 100-meter dash. Her time was just seven hundredths of a second off her career-best time, which she set last season at the NCAA Preliminary Round.
