The University of Cincinnati women's track & field team won the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Gettler Stadium, while the men's team took second. The Bearcats combined to win 12 events in the frigid temperatures.
// TUDOR TAKES TWO
Junior thrower Macklin Tudor had a successful day as he won both the shot put and discus. He recorded a mark of 57' 0.75" in the shot put, which ranks him fourth in UC history. He threw 182' 7.75" in the discus to win by nearly 30 feet.
//WOMEN DOMINATE SPRINTS
The women's sprints group dominated on Saturday as they took first in the 100, 200 and 400-meter dash. Kenya Woodall took the 100m title in a time, while Je'Rica Sanders was the 200m winner at 24.86. Jada Grant garnered the 400m crown with a time of 57.49.
//DUAL HIGH JUMP CHAMPIONS
UC swept the high jump titles with Jordan Hardiman taking the men's crown and Loretta Blaut winning the women's. Hardiman won on jumps by clearing 6' 6" on his first attempt. Blaut grabbed the women's title with a clearance of 5' 5.75".
