CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team saw their postseason come to an end at the hands of No. 1 UConn in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference Championship Saturday afternoon at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The nation's top-ranked team proved to be too much for the Bearcats as UConn cruised to a 96-34 win. The Huskies finished with six players in double figures, led by Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis' 18 points on 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range.
Breanna Stewart added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds while Moriah Jefferson added 12 points and nine assists.
UC was led by Chelsea Jamison (Indianapolis, Ind./Broad Ripple) and Makenzie Cann (Lawrenceburg, Ky./Anderson County) who each totaled eight points.

- Cincinnati answered with a 7-0 spurt that ran one minutes and 32 seconds off the clock. Ana Owens started the offense for UC with a jumper and followed up with a three on UC's next possession. Brandey Tarver added the final two points with a jumper.
- UConn pushed their lead to 43-13 following a 21-2 run where the Huskies went 9-of-14 from the floor and recorded four steals. UC's lone points during the run came from Jasmine Whitfield
- UConn added on in the second half with a 15-2 run to start the final frame of the contest. Morgan Tuck added eight points for the Huskies and Breanna Stewart contributed four. Makenzie Cann had UC's two points during the run.
