Cobb averaged 19.0 points while shooting 61.9 percent (13 of 21) from the field and 54.5 percent (6 of 11) from three-point range, helping the Bearcats to a pair of victories last week.
Cobb poured in a game-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field with four three-pointers at Tulsa (March 4). The 6-foot-1 guard scored 10 of his 16 points against Memphis (March 8) during 2:30 spurt in the first half helping UC build a 19-4 lead. He finished 4 of 7 from the field and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line with a pair of three-pointers.
Cobb ranks third on the team, averaging 8.6 points a game this season. He leads the Bearcats with 50 three-pointers on the year. He ranks among The American's leaders in three-pointers per game (12th at 1.6) and three-point shooting percentage (14th at .345).
During UC's current five-game win streak Cobb is averaging 11.8 points while shooting 45.7 percent (21 of 46) from the field and 42.9 percent (9 of 21) from beyond the arc.
Cobb is the first Bearcat of the season to earn the league's top weekly honor. He previously was named twice to The American's Weekly Honor Roll (Jan. 5 and Feb. 9).
Cincinnati (22-9) starts postseason play on Friday when it faces the USF-UConn winner in the quarterfinals of the American Championship at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The contest is scheduled to start at approximately 9 p.m. ET on ESPNU and 700 WLW.
