Freshman Rebecka Abrahamsson snatched the women's triple jump record Saturday afternoon in the University of Cincinnati's final day of competition at the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville, Tennessee. Meanwhile, the Bearcats combined to post eight top-eight finishes.

In just her second jump of the meet and season, Abrahamsson leapt past Sintara Carpenter's previous record mark of 40' 4.25" by more than a foot to set the UC record at 41' 10". The freshman from Sweden now holds both the indoor and outdoor school records in the triple jump.
