The University of Cincinnati track & field programs grabbed six top-eight finishes on Thursday of the 121st Penn Relays, which is considered the world's largest and oldest relay carnival.
// AKERSTROM FINSHES TOP FIVE...TWICE
Senior Frida Akerstrom garnered two top-five finishes on Thursday at the Penn Relays. The Swedish thrower finished fourth in the Champion Division of the women's shot put with a toss of 50' 9.25" and fifth in the College Division of the discus with a personal record of 160' 7".
// LOVERIDGE CRUISES THROUGH 10K
Sophomore Toby Loveridge cruised to a third-place finish in the Championship Division of the 10,000-meter run late on Thursday night. His time of 29:56.38 moves him to third all-time in the Bearcats' records book, behind Colin Cotton (29:50.00; 2013) and Eric Finan (29:37.29; 2011).
