The University of Cincinnati track & field programs accumulated 15 top-three finishes, including three event victories, at the Kentucky Relays on Saturday.
// ANDERSON STROLLS TO A CAREER BEST
Senior transfer Andre Anderson strolled to a career-best, 400-meter hurdle time of 52.24 and won the event. His time is the second fastest in the American Athletic Conference, and it also puts him tied for eighth in UC history with Mark Hair (1983).
// BLAUT SOARS TO FIRST PLACE
Freshman Loretta Blaut had a breakthrough performance in the high jump as she soared over the bar at 5' 10" to win the event. The jumper's mark is the second best in The American behind teammate Erika Hurd. Blaut now sits fifth in Bearcats' all-time history.
// ABRAHAMSSON LEAPS PAST ALL
Freshman Rebecka Abrahamsson, who is UC's indoor and outdoor record holder in the triple jump, showed her versatility by winning the long jump. The Swede jumped 18' 10" to win while also tying Cincinnati's eighth farthest mark in program history. Abrahamsson shares the eighth spot with Boudine Bouma (2008).
