Former University of Cincinnati men's basketball star Sean Kilpatrick put in a strong showing during a six-game, eight-day stint this week with the Milwaukee Bucks at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas , Nevada.

The 6-4, 210-pound guard led the Bucks in scoring, three-point shooting and three-pointers and was second in minutes played despite coming off the bench in four of the six contests. Kilpatrick averaged 18.2 points, made 16 three-pointers and shot 45.7 percent (16 of 35) from three-point range to lead the cause.

Kilpatrick led the Bucks in scoring in three games, including a 26-point effort against Houston in Milwaukee's lone summer league win on July 15. He made 9 of 12 attempts from the field against the Rockets, including four three-pointers. He also poured in 24 points against New Orleans in the event's opener on July 10.

Kilpatrick finished second on the squad in minutes played at 28.7 per game, behind Rashad Vaughn's 29.7 minutes per game average. Vaughn was Milwaukee's first round pick in June's NBA Draft and played one season of college basketball at UNLV.

Milwaukee's run in the event's tournament ended Friday night with an 83-76 loss to the New York Knicks.

Kilpatrick averaged 5.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in four games with the Minnesota Timberwolves during 2014-15 NBA season after signing a 10-day contract on March 19. He played most of last season for the Delaware 87ers in the NBA Development League, averaging 16.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 22 games. He originally went undrafted in the 2014 draft and played for Philadelphia in the NBA Summer League a year ago.

Kilpatrick finished his Cincinnati career (2011-2014) as a first-team All-American during his senior season, leading the American and ranking 18th in the nation averaging 20.6 points. He led UC in scoring in each of its last 20 games and in 31 of 34 contest during the season. He was chosen a finalist for the Wooden Award and the Oscar Robertson Trophy and a semifinalist for the Naismith Trophy.

He helped guide the Bearcats to 101 victories, four NCAA tournament appearances and a share of the 2014 American Athletic Conference regular-season title. The Bearcats were 27-7 overall and claimed a share of the inaugural American Athletic Conference regular-season crown during his senior campaign (2013-14).

Kilpatrick finished second in career points (2,145 points from 2011-2014) at Cincinnati, behind only the legendary Oscar Robertson (2,973 points from 1958-60). He tied Deonta Vaughn (2006-10) for the school record in career three-pointers made with 313 and set school marks for career games played (140), consecutive games played (140) and career minutes played (4,315). He also ranks among UC career leaders in victories (second at 101), field goal attempts (second at 1,687), field goals made (fourth at 707) and steals (fifth at 166).
