CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team capped its exhibition slate for 2015 with a 2-1 decision over Bowling Green on Saturday night at Gettler Stadium. The friendly was a final tuneup for the Bearcats prior to the season opener next Friday, Aug. 28.
Both veterans and newcomers produced for Cincinnati in the match, with senior John Manga (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) and freshman Adam Wilson (Auchterarder, Scotland/Dollar Academy) scoring goals. Redshirt junior keeper Alex Gill (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek) also had a solid night in goal, making five saves.

CIN - John Manga 43'
Manga spotted the Bearcats to a 1-0 lead late in the first half. Alejandro Garcia (Coral Springs, Fla./Taravella) played a through ball into the box and Manga collected it and finished from the right side.
BG - Pat Flynn 66'
The Falcons equalized the match midway through the second half when Joe Sullivan played a ball through the box to the left side and Flynn finished just inside the post.
CIN - Adam Wilson 86'
Wilson scored the winner for the Bearcats by bending a free kick from just outside the 18', finishing in the upper 90.

The Bearcats open the 2015 regular season on Friday, Aug. 28, when Northern Kentucky travels across the Ohio River for a 7 p.m. showdown at Gettler Stadium. The sides have played to a 1-1 draw each of the last two seasons.
