The University of Cincinnati cross country teams impressed Saturday morning at the 34th Annual Queen City Invitational in Mason, Ohio, with the men winning the team title and the women coming in third overall.
// MEN'S RACE
The Bearcats tallied a score of 58 to edge out Northern Kentucky for the team title by nine points. The last time the men's team won the Queen City Invitational was in 2011.
UC was led by sophomore Seamus Collins and junior Anthony Car, who finished sixth and seventh and both run under 19 minutes. Sophomore Spencer Clark also turned in a time under 19 minutes as he finished ninth. Freshman Nick Grismer and senior Greg Sanders rounded out UC's scoring by placing 16th and 20th, respectively. The overall spread between the Bearcats' five scorers was 21.3 seconds.

// WOMEN'S RACE
UC's women's team had a strong performance all-around with an abundance of new faces leading the pack. The Bearcats earned third place, which is the program's highest since 2012, with a team score of 88 points.
Freshmen Juliana Madzia and Vanessa Robinson were Cincinnati's top finishers as they earned 11th and 13th place. Fellow freshman Cassidy Carey and sophomore Ari Surles snatched 20th and 21st, while junior Hannah Christ took 23rd to round out the team's scoring.
