CINCINNATI
- Head coach Ty Neal has made a pair of changes to his 2015-16 baseball coaching staff, announcing that Ted Tom will step into an assistant coaching role while Andy Nagel will become the new Director of Baseball Operations.

Tom steps into the assistant coaching position after spending the 2015 season as the Director of Operations. Prior to his move to Cincinnati, he was the head coach at NAIA Shawnee State for seven years and is the winningest coach in the school's history with 203 career victories.

"Ted is a great teacher of the game" said Neal. "He has a great passion for teaching the game but most importantly, he values relationships and our players will benefit from this move."

"I want to thank Coach Neal for the opportunity to have a coaching role in our program" said Tom. "I am very anxious to get to work with our guys and continue to build Cincinnati baseball. It is an exciting time for me and my family."

Nagel comes to UC after spending the last eight years as an assistant coach at local Archbishop Moeller High School. While at Moeller he worked with all positions on defense while also instructing the hitters and baserunners. He was named the 2015 Ohio High School Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year for the Southwest District and helped guide the Crusaders to four Ohio state championships.

"Andy comes to us from a great high school program at Moeller" said Neal. "He is a family man that has a great reputation in Cincinnati and we are anxious to add his skills to our staff."

"I want to thank Coach Neal for giving me this opportunity" said Nagel. "I want to help Coach build a first-class championship program - one that contends each and every year on the field, in the classroom and in the community. I am extremely excited to help make Bearcats baseball a destination for the fans and the UC community as well as help the coaches make UC a destination for the top high school talent in the country."
