University of Cincinnati basketball fans are invited to attend The Red and Black Scrimmage presented by Skyline Chili Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1 to 1:45 p.m., inside Fifth Third Arena.
The free event gives fans their first look at the 2015-16 Bearcats, who return their top six scorers from last year's unit that posted a 23-11 overall record, tied for third in the American Athletic Conference and advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament.
Fans are encouraged to enter Fifth Third Arena on the east concourse level (near the Bearcat statue). The west concourse entrance will not be available for use. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.
The scrimmage marks one of many events on Oct. 24 surrounding UC football's homecoming contest against UConn scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Fans also can enjoy the homecoming parade presented by the UC Alumni Association beginning at 12:30 p.m. along Clifton Avenue. The football team's pregame CatWalk starts at 2 p.m. at The Grid on Campus Green.
