University of Cincinnati junior Jared O'Kelley (Canton, Ga./Creekview High School) carded a 1-over par 73 to tie five other players for 11th place Sunday in opening-round action of the Intercollegiate at the Grove hosted by Middle Tennessee in College Grove, Tennessee.
Second-round play at the Grove Club (par 72, 7,368 yards) begins Monday at 10 a.m. ET. No live scoring is available.
O'Kelley sits five strokes behind tournament leader Stoney Crouch of Lipscomb, who posted a 4-under 68 Sunday. O'Kelley led all 66 players in the field with six birdies in the first round. Crouch is one of 10 golfers to post opening round scores at or below par.
UC sophomore Davis Baxter ranks two strokes behind O'Kelley, tied with five players for 19th place at 3-over 75.
The Bearcats rank seventh in the 12-team event after a 15-over 303 round Sunday. Lipscomb leads the event after an even-par 288.
