Bearcats Defeat UCF 2-0, Extend Unbeaten Streak to Nine

Freshman Jordan Cotleur (Copley, Ohio/Copley) notched a pair of goals to lead the University of Cincinnati women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over back-to-back defending American Athletic Conference regular-season champion UCF on Sunday afternoon. The win extends the Bearcats unbeaten streak to nine consecutive matches.

Cotleur started the match with a goal and finished it with one. In the 13th minute, the Copley, Ohio, native raced the UCF goalkeeper to a ball bouncing at the 18, and Cotleur chipped a shot over the keeper to give Cincinnati a 1-0 lead. She again found the back of the net in the 89th minute as she flicked in a UC free kick.

Senior goalkeeper Sam Pavlika (Temperance, Mich./Novi/IPFW) tallied two saves in the match to earn her fourth shutout of the season and remain undefeated at 5-0-3.

13' - CIN - Jaycie Brown (Wellington, Ohio/Magnificat) led a streaking Cotleur with a pass behind the UCF defensive line that landed in between the freshman and the Knights' goalkeeper. Cotleur raced the keeper to the ball and arrived just in time to chip a shot over the goalkeeper's head from the top of the box and into the goal.

89' - CIN - Off a free kick from the left side, Kelly Latimer (Lake Forest, Calif./El Toro) bent in a cross to Cotleur, who rose above three defenders to flick in the insurance goal.

- Cincinnati extended their unbeaten streak to nine matches, which is the program's longest since 2002 when UC had a 12-match unbeaten streak.
- Sunday's win over UCF was the Bearcats' first win against the Knights since 1983 when UC won 3-2 at home.
- For the first time since 2002, Cincinnati is undefeated in conference play after four league matches.
- Cincinnati is 12-0-1 when playing at home on Sundays.
