DALLAS -- The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team saw its 2015 season end in heartbreaking fashion on Saturday night in Dallas, falling to eighth-ranked SMU, 2-1, in American Athletic Conference quarterfinal action.

The Bearcats (7-9-3) and Mustangs (13-2-3) traded goals in the first 60 minutes before the hosts scored the game-winner with just 23 seconds to play to advance to the conference semifinals next weekend. It marked the second hard-fought match with the league champions this season for Cincinnati, as SMU took a 1-0, double-overtime victory at Gettler Stadium on Oct. 17.
