BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving team had another successful competition on day two at the Hoosierland Invitational. Ryan DePietro recorded an Olympic trial cut time in the morning session, while Jacqueline Keire secured a first-place finish during the evening finals.

The meet continued with morning preliminary swims in long course meters to allow for Olympic trial cut times, while the evening finals sessions were competed in the traditional short course yards.

DePietro (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) had the highlight of the morning session, completing the 400-meter individual medley in 4:27.33, just ahead of the Olympic trial cut of 4:27.49. During the evening finals session, DePietro placed second in the 400-yard IM with a time of 3:50.64, just behind Indiana's Grayson Smith who clocked in at 3:50.58.

Keire (Burlington, Ont./Nelson) collected the lone finals win for UC for the second day in a row. She finished the 200-yard freestyle in 1:43.58 to follow-up her first-place performance in the 50-yard freestyle on Thursday. Keire also had the fastest time in the 200-meter freestyle during the morning session, clocking in at 1:59.08.

The Bearcats conclude action at the Hooiserland Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 5. Preliminary action again begins at 11 a.m., with the finals session at 6 p.m.
