BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The University of Cincinnati swimming team saw Jacqueline Keire and Chris Bready capture individual events on the third and final day of the Hoosierland Invitational.
Keire (Burlington, Ont./Nelson) won the 100-yard freestyle in the finals session on Saturday. She touched the wall in 48.35 to collect the first-place finish. She placed third in the morning session of the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 56.97.
Bready (Missouri City, Texas/Lawrence E. Elkins) was the other Bearcats swimmer to earn a first-place finish. He swam the 1,650-yard (mile) freestyle in the evening session to a time of 15:10.99 to win. It capped a successful weekend for Bready, who also made an Olympic trial cut in the 400-meter freestyle on Friday.
The Bearcats return to action on Friday, Dec. 18, when they compete against Georgia Tech and Florida Atlantic in Naples, Fla.
