CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team is off to their best start of the season since the 2006 season, improving to 5-1 with a 7-0 sweep of Villanova Saturday evening in Philadelphia.

The Bearcats quickly added a doubles win for the second-straight match, taking victories on courts No 2 and 3 to secure the win. UC also added a win on No. 3 shortly after.

It was all Cincinnati in singles action as the Bearcats lost just two sets in singles play. Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) extended her singles winning steak to six, defeating Tori Smyth 6-1, 6-4. The sophomore played on court No. 1 all weekend and hasn't lost a set since the opening match of the season.
Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) also remains undefeated this season, with a 3-0 record following her 6-4, 6-1 win on court No. 6. Kayta Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) picked up her second third-set win of the season, finishing the victory with a 10-6 victory in the tiebreaker third-set.
