CINCINNATI - Head coach Molly Alvey and the University of Cincinnati volleyball team have announced the dates for their upcoming spring competition season, which includes a match played in Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats will open the spring slate on Thursday, March 3, with a match against regional rival Northern Kentucky University at 7 p.m. in Fifth Third Arena. The match is open to the public with complimentary admission courtesy of Experience UC. UC swept the Norse in a match on Aug. 29 as part of the annual Queen City Classic. Freshman Jade Tingelhoff (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South) finished with 16 assists and 11 digs for her second-career double-double.
Cincinnati will then participate in a pair of all-day events, beginning at Miami (Ohio)'s Millett Hall on Saturday, April 2, where it will play three matches against Miami, Xavier and Pittsburgh. The following Saturday, April 9, the Bearcats will play at the OVVC Collegiate Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center, with matches against top regional competition.
The spring season closes with a match at the University of Kentucky on April 14. It will be played at 7 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum.
