CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team saw its rally fall short on Friday night at Gettler Stadium, dropping a 6-5 decision to Coastal Carolina. Megan Bell scored four of Cincinnati's goals, while Maggie Carr had a hat trick for the Chanticleers.

The opening 18 minutes were scoreless before Coastal took a 3-0 lead on Crowther's free position goal. Carr and Haley Alexander scored the first two goals, both from Bromley.
1:56 1st - CIN Megan Bell (Amanda Donovan)
Bell quickly got the Bearcats back in the game late in the first half, scoring two goals in 12 seconds to cut the deficit to 3-2 at the half.
12:45 2nd - CCU Maggie Carr (unassisted)
Carr scored two goals in 1:20 to provide the Chanticleers' final scoring of the evening. First was a free position, followed by an unassisted goal to put Coastal up, 6-3.
9:59 2nd - CIN Sarah Del Bene (Megan Bell)
Bell played a part in every UC goal, this time finding Del Bene in front for the score to cut the Coastal lead to 6-5. Unfortunately, the Bearcats turned it over four times in the closing 10 minutes while generating just one shot attempt, falling by a final of 6-5.

- Cincinnati outshot Coastal Carolina, 21-12.
- The Bearcats held slight edges in draws, 7-6, and ground balls, 16-13.
- Coastal evened the all-time series with UC, 2-2. The last three games in the series have been decided by two goals or less.
