CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team capped its nonconference schedule on Tuesday afternoon at Gettler Stadium, falling to No. 5 Louisville, 11-7. The Bearcats forced 15 Cardinal turnovers and got eight saves in the cage to stay in the contest. The loss drops the Bearcats to 4-6 on the year, while the Cardinals move to 10-1.

Morrissette spotted the Cardinals to a 1-0 lead, but Stegmann evened things up not quite four minutes later. Louisville outscored Cincinnati, 3-1, over the opening 20 minutes.
7:05 1st - LOU Hannah Koloski (free position)
Koloski broke the game open, scoring four straight goals as part of a five-goal run which put the visitors ahead 6-1. Four of the goals over the 13-minute, five-goal run came from the free position.
0:00 1st - CIN Courtney Curtis (Megan Bell)
Bell found Curtis (Mason, Ohio/Mason) on a give-and-go right before time expired in the first half to cut the Louisville lead to 7-3.
11:48 2nd - CIN Amanda Donovan (Megan Bell)
Donovan scored on another assist by Bell to cut the Louisville lead to 9-6 with just under 12 minutes to play. The three-goal margin was the closest the Bearcats would get, however.
5:37 2nd - LOU Heidi Smith (free position)
The Cardinals scored their sixth and final free position goal of the afternoon to put the game on ice. Smith boosted the lead to 11-6 with just over five minutes to play. Stegmann recorded a final goal for the Bearcats to provide the final margin of 11-7.

- The Bearcats won the turnover battle, forcing 15 UofL turnovers while committing just 11. Byner led the way with three, while Curtis and Liz Burgee (Churchville, Md./C. Milton Wright) joined Hudson with two caused turnovers each.
