CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati took advantage of a beautiful spring day Wednesday afternoon, picking up a 4-1 win over Wright State in front of a large crowd at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center.

Despite a quick win for Wright State on court No. 3, the Bearcats were able to pick up wins on the first and second courts to earn the doubles point. Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) and Lauren Bellinger (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) grabbed the first win while Antonella Bramato (Pachuca, Mexico/Elise Freinet) and Katya Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) clinched the point.

Cincinnati needed just three singles wins to clinch the match and Harley Hutchison (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) made quick work for the Bearcats, recording a 6-0, 6-2 win on court No. 5. Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) followed shortly after with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court No. 6. The Bearcats secured the win after Bellinger finished off her opponent on court No. 2 with a 6-3, 6-1 win.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, April 3rd making the trip down to Louisville for a 3:30 p.m. meeting with the Cardinals. Cincinnati returns home on Wednesday, April 6 to host crosstown rival Xavier at 3 p.m.
