- In her first race for the Bearcats, Madzia led from the start as she set the pace throughout to capture the victory in 37:52.72. That time places her among the Top 15 all-time in UC history and just 10 seconds shy of the No. 10 position on the charts. Madzia withstood a late challenge from Wheeling Jesuit's Kaitlyn Workman, who closed the gap with just over a mile to go before Madzia pulled away to complete the wire-to-wire win.
- The hammer throw opened the day and saw senior Monica Phillips lead the way as she recorded a best of 53.81m (176-06) to finish second overall. As the top attached competitor in the event, Phillips captured 10 team points. She was joined in the finals by Leah Heckaman, who recorded a best of 50.64m (166-01) to place eighth overall. Alexis Gray was 12th in the event with her best of 41.60m (136-05), which is a PR.

Serenaded by his distance teammates and their household drum kit, Sanders' time is a PR by nearly 56 seconds, bettering his previous best run in 2012 in the same meet.
