CINCINNATI -- Megan Bell recorded a hat trick on her senior day, but the University of Cincinnati lacrosse team dropped a 10-5 BIG EAST Conference decision to Georgetown on a sun-splashed Saturday afternoon at the Sheakley Athletics Center.
Prior to the game, the team honored its six seniors - Bell, Courtney Curtis, Kyara Byner, Meg Gulmi, Sarah Del Bene and Sydney Smith. Five of the six started the contest, with all six seeing the field.

Rubin's goal capped a 5-0 run by the Hoyas to open the game. Bandos scored twice in the run, both from the free position, while Corinne Etchison and Lovett added goals, as well.
10:14 1st - CIN Courtney Curtis (Maria Collacchi)
The Bearcats got back in the game, using a 4-1 run over the last 10:14 of the first half to cut the deficit to 6-4. On the first goal, Collacchi (Parkton, Md./Hereford) was in the near corner and found Curtis streaking in from the back side for the goal.

The seniors connected for Bell's second consecutive goal, cutting the deficit to two. It was the second of two impressive fast break goals for the Bearcats.
20:48 2nd - GU Georgia Tunney (free position)
With both teams slowing down the pace, the Hoyas extended the lead back to three goals when Tunney connected on a free position after nearly 10 minutes of scoreless action to open the second half.
8:44 2nd - GU Colleen Lovett (Corrinne Etchison)
After Whitehurst made it 9-4 with 11:54 to play, Lovett followed with this goal and another just over three minutes later to salt the game away. Amanda Donovan (Ellicott City, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) added a goal with 4:15 to play, providing the final score of 10-5.
