CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team's match against Eastern Illinois on Wednesday night at Gettler Stadium was cancelled due to weather in the area.
Lightning strikes prior to the match caused the kickoff time to be pushed back on numerous occasions. The strikes continued throughout the evening, resulting in the match being called after discussions between the teams and the game operations crew.
There is a possibility that the match between the two teams could be made up at a later date. Stay tuned on the web at GoBearcats.com and on Twitter at @GoBearcatsMSOC for updates regarding a rescheduling.
The Bearcats will be back at Gettler Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. when they welcome the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
