CINCINNATI
- One match after sweeping SMU in a battle for first place in the American Athletic Conference, the University of Cincinnati volleyball team fell 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 22-25, 23-25) to Tulsa on Sunday afternoon in Fifth Third Arena. The loss puts the Bearcats back in second place in the league, tied with Temple and a game behind the Mustangs.

Sophomore setter Jade Tingelhoff (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South) shined for the Bearcats, dishing out 45 assists and collecting a career-high 22 digs for her seventh double-double of the season. Sophomore Carly Nolan (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) recorded her team-leading 11th double-double with 12 kills and 20 digs while sophomore Jordan Thompson (Edina, Minn./Edina) finished with her eighth double-double of the season with 22 kills and 15 digs.

- Cincinnati falls to 16-9 on the year and 11-3 in The American while Tulsa improves to 17-9 and 8-6 in the league.
- The Bearcats and the Golden Hurricane split the series on the year and UC is now 4-3 all-time against Tulsa.
- Thompson has recorded double-digit kills in 22 matches this season while Nolan has reached the milestone on 18 occasions. Additionally, senior Ciara Hill (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolinngbrook) had 10 kills vs, Tulsa and has finished with double-digit kills 13 time this year.
- Sophomore Abby Williams (Loveland, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) chipped in 20 digs for the Bearcats.
- Senior Lise Alaiwan Villeneuve Loubet, France/Kedge Business School) stuffed seven blocks and recorded eight kills to lead Cincinnati at the net.
- The team's 90 digs are the most in a four-set match since at least 2000.
- The Bearcats held Tulsa to a .204 attacking percentage, marking the 11th time in the last 12 matches that they have kept their opponent under the .250 mark.
- Cincinnati topped the Golden Hurricane in digs (90-86) and blocks (11.0-7.5)

// SET BREAKDOWN
Set 1: TU 25, UC 19
- The Bearcats were forced into an early timeout after three straight points by Tulsa made it 8-5 in favor of the visitors.
- Cincinnati tied it back at 12-12 after a pair of Tulsa errors but the Golden Hurricane answered with three in a row to go back in front 15-12.
- Tulsa finished the set scoring three of the final four points to win 25-19 and take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: UC 25, TU 18
- Cincinnati used a three-point scoring run, including kills by Thompson and redshirt senior Alison Kimmel (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North), to take an 11-6 lead.
- The UC advantage grew to 16-8 after a kill and block by Thompson but the Golden Hurricane pushed to within 18-13, forcing a Cincinnati timeout.
- Tulsa pulled within 21-17 but the Bearcats scored four of the final five points in the game, with two kills by Thompson and two Tulsa errors, to win the game 25-18.
Set 3: TU 25, UC 22
- Tulsa employed a four-point scoring run with a pair of kills for a 14-10 lead, forcing a Cincinnati timeout.
- Alaiwan took control with three straight points, including a kill and two blocks, to get her team within 22-17 and force a Tulsa timeout.
- The momentum continued with another Alaiwan kill and a Dinkelacker ace to make the score 22-19 after the timeout. Tulsa answered, however, with two kills by Rebecca Reeve for set point at 24-19.
- The Bearcats fought off three Tulsa set points with kills by Alaiwan and Thompson and an error by TU's Erica Bohannon, but the Golden Hurricane went back to Bohannon who ended it at 25-22.
Set 4: TU 25, UC 23
- The Bearcats took an 11-10 lead after a kill by Nolan and a solo block by junior Maya Muldrow (Raleigh, N.C./Wakefield).
- Cincinnati forced two quick Tulsa timeouts at 19-17 and again at 21-19.
- The Golden Hurricane answered out of the break with three straight points, to go in front 22-21.
- Thompson fended off a match point with a kill but the Hurricane again went to Bohannon who ended the game 25-23, giving her team the victory.

Cincinnati goes back on the road in American action, this time heading to northeast for matches with Temple and UConn. The Bearcats will face the Owls at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, before traveling to Storrs, Connecticut, to play the Huskies at Noon on Sunday, Nov. 13.
