CLINTON, S.C. -- The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team used a six-point day from senior Megan Bell en route to a 17-6 decision at Presbyterian on Sunday afternoon. Bell recorded four goals and two assists, while teammate Courtney Curtis added three goals and an assist as the Bearcats collected their first victory of 2016.

Bell scored just past four minutes into the game to even the score at 1-1. It opened a 5-0 Bearcats run over roughly the next 15 minutes that saw Bell score two more goals, giving her a hat trick less than 20 minutes into the game.

After Schaaf scored a pair of goals for the Blue Hose to cut the Cincinnati lead to 7-4, Curtis got a goal to push the lead back to 9-4 just before the half.

22:25 2nd - CIN Maria Collacchi (Elaina Enich)
After a Presbyterian goal trimmed the UC lead to 10-5, Collacchi responded with the first of a pair of man-up goals for the Bearcats. He made it 11-5 before Moore found the back of the cage just 15 seconds later to make it 12-5.

With UC leading 12-6, Moore scored her second of the game to make it 13-6 and open up a 5-0 Cincinnati run over the closing 7:04. Katie Stegmann (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy), Schuyler Nissen (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School), Sarah Del Bene (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) and Lord all scored their first goals of the season in the closing run.

The Bearcats return to the Palmetto State next weekend when they visit Winthrop on Friday, Feb. 26 (2 p.m.). Next weekend also includes the home opener for UC, as Robert Morris will visit Gettler Stadium for a 1 p.m. contest.
