CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team dominated from start to finish in a 21-3 victory over Butler on Saturday afternoon at the Sheakley Athletics Center. Freshman Monica Borzill0 (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) set three program records on the day, including most points in a game, most points in a season and most assists in a season by any UC player.
Borzillo finished with four goals and six assists while sophomore Amanda Donovan (Elicott City, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) added five goals and an assist.

- With the win, Cincinnati improves to 5-6 on the season and 1-2 in the BIG EAST while Butler moves to 1-10 and 0-3.
- Borzillo paced the UC offense with four goals and six assists, setting a program record as the first player to ever record 10 points in a game. Her six assists ties her own program high which she initially set against Gardner-Webb on March 17.
- Borzillo entered the game with a program-tying 52 points on the season and broke the mark with an assist to Donovan on the first goal of the game. Her 10 total points in the game move her to 62 on the year with six games remaining in the regular season.
- Borzillo's fourth assist of the game, also to Donovan, was her 28th of the year and broke the program UC record for assists in a season.
- Borzillo has scored in each game of her collegiate career.
- Currently, Borzillo owns the single season records for points (62), points per game (5.64), assists (30), assists per game (2.73) and goals per game (2.91).
- Prior to the game, Borzillo ranked eighth in the NCAA in points per game, ninth in total points, and 11th in both assists per game and total assists.
- Donovan's five goals and six points were both career high marks for the sophomore.
- Freshman McKenna Rushford (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) recorded a career high four goals and four points in the game. She added three ground balls and four draw controls.
- The Bearcats recorded 21 goals on 11 assists, setting a program record with 32 total points.
- UC held its opponent to just three goals for the first time since a 7-3 victory over Liberty on March 14, 2013.
- The 18-goal scoring margin is the most in program history for Cincinnati.
- Cincinnati topped Butler in shots (38-6), draw controls (19-7), ground balls (28-18), free position goals (3-1) and caused turnovers (9-3).

The Bearcats struck first within the first 60 seconds of the game with a goal by Donovan off the quick restart by Borzillo. It was Borzillo's 53rd point of the season, breaking the single-season points record for Cincinnati.

UC scored three goals in a span of 50 seconds for a quick 6-0 lead. The final goal of the stretch was Donovan's second of the game and came of the assist by junior Brooke Kovinsky (Monkton, Md./Hereford). Sophomore Julia Byrne (MacLean, Va./Langley) and Borzillo scored the other two goals.

Borzillo set the single-season assists record in the second half when she set up Donovan for her fourth goal of the game. It was Borzillo's 28th assist of the season and the freshman would finish with 30 at the conclusion of the game.
