CINCINNATI - Macklin Tudor continued to make his mark in the shot put as he broke his own school record in the event for third time this outdoor season as he led four men that competed in a pair of throw events for the University of Cincinnati track and field program Friday.
// TUDOR BREAKS RECORD... AGAIN
For the second time in as many weeks, Tudor improved his own school record in the shot put, this time pushing the ball out to 18.85m (61-10.50) to finish third in the championship division at the 123rd Penn Relays. That toss, which came in the third round of throws, increased his best of the year by 2" after he threw 18.81m (61-08.50) last week in Columbus. Tudor, who also holds the school record in the discus, continued to close in on the current conference leader, Cameron Cornelius (Houston), who is now 0.75" ahead of the Bearcats senior. The two went head-to-head today at Penn with the Cougar junior placing seventh with a best of 18.12m.
