CINCINNATI
– University of Cincinnati women's golf will host the 2017 Losantiville Challenge on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Losantiville Country Club.
 
The event will be will be a one-day, two-round, 36-hole tournament featuring stroke play at the 6,035-yard course that plays at a par of 72. Play will begin Tuesday with tee times spanning from 8:30-10:00 a.m. for groups of three golfers. Participating teams include host UC, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, and Northern Kentucky. UC returns six golfers this season including its lowest scorer from last year in senior Christina Gloor (Mattstetten, Switzerland/ESC La Neuveville) who shot an average of 75.5 during 31 rounds of play. Rising junior Anika Hitt (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) also returns after ending last season on a strong note with a tie for 13th place at The American Championship. UC will also welcome arguably the strongest recruiting class in the program's history with the additions of Angela Lopez (Bogotá, Colombia), Vanessa Manrique (Bogotá, Colombia), and Amalia Shahzan (Kedah, Malaysia).
