CINCINNATI - The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly honors for volleyball with University of Cincinnati junior Carly Nolan being selected for the Honor Roll, the league announced today. Nolan recorded three double-doubles over the weekend at the Xavier Tournament as the Bearcats went 1-2 with the victory coming in a thrilling five-set match against their crosstown rivals.
Nolan recorded a team-best 62 kills in three matches, averaging 4.43 kills per set, while also averaging 3.71 digs per set (52 in total). She recorded double-doubles in all three matches, bringing her total to four on the early season. Currently, Nolan ranks second in the American in kills (4.25 per set) and second with 4.62 points per game scored. Her 102 kills and 111.0 points also are best among all players in the league.
Nolan recorded 17 kills and 21 digs in the win over Xavier before tallying a match-high 21 kills with 14 digs in a five set loss to Texas State. In the finale, she recorded a career-high 24 kills to go along with 17 digs, marking the third time this year she had posted at least 20 kills in a match after doing similarly just twice in each of the last two campaigns. For her efforts, she was named to the all-tournament team for the second week in a row.

The Bearcats return to the road this weekend for a trio of matches at the Redbird Classic in Normal, Ill., Friday and Saturday. First, UC will take on Seton Hall in a 4 p.m. CT (5 p.m. ET) match. Then, Saturday will see the Bearcats play a pair of matches, first meeting Dayton at 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET) and then host Illinois State at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET).
