University of Cincinnati Director of Athletics Mike Bohn announced the promotion of Nick Bowes to serve as the Bearcats' Senior Associate AD for Internal Affairs and Chief Financial Officer.

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati Director of Athletics Mike Bohn announced the promotion of Nick Bowes to serve as the Bearcats' Senior Associate AD for Internal Affairs and Chief Financial Officer.
 
Bowes, who joined UC in June 2009 as an accountant, previously served as Associate AD for Business and External Affairs.
 
Bowes will oversee all aspects of UC's $62-million athletics budget. He will serve as the administrative oversight for the men's basketball program, the athletics business office, facility operations, information technology purchases along with the management of athletics human resource operations.
 
He will work directly with Bohn on contracts, capital project financing, revenue agreements, personnel planning, departmental policies and procedures and budgetary support for 19 sport programs.

"Additionally, Nick's unique broad based intercollegiate athletics acumen will complement the University's team of committed partners who are instrumental in leading our long term financial viability efforts."
 
Before moving in his current role, Bowes served as the Associate AD for Business and External Affairs.
 
He served as the oversight for athletics ticket sales and operations, managing the business side of UC's revenue generation efforts. His responsibilities included the management of approximately $6-million annually in tickets and parking revenue. Bowes managed accounting for the $86 million Nippert Stadium renovation and expansion project as well as the financial modeling for the $87-million Fifth Third Arena project. He also oversaw the forecasting of all ticket and gameday revenue and developed the pricing structure for all season ticket and single-game sales.
 
The Worthington, Ohio native earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Ohio State and an MBA from UC.
