// QUOTING HEAD COACH DOUG MARTIN

On the level of competition and challenges UC will face in Tennessee:
"The quality of this field is very good. We're going to continue to challenge our players. If we want to take the next step, we need to compete and beat some of these teams.

"There's a really good chance we'll be playing in rain for the first time in a while so it will really test how patient we can continue to play."

On how the team is coming together after two tournaments:
"We have four guys with a 72 or better stroke average after two tournaments. If we can continue that we will have a special year. We've got to keep getting better each week.

"We have our younger guys like Andy Mayhew and Nicolas Osterburg continuing to get more experience at this level. Jake Fox continues to show a great amount of maturity and that's really immeasurable in importance to this team. Davis Baxter has worked on some mental things to get over the hump and is starting to be more comfortable on the golf course. Austin Squires has some lofty goals this year. He's focusing on his putting. When he's putting the ball well he's as good as anyone in college golf."
