// LAST TIME OUT
UC was edged 1-0 by the UConn Huskies on Oct. 7 at Gettler Stadium in a hard-fought battle between two conference foes. The setback marked the first Bearcats loss to the Huskies in Cincinnati in series history. The two squads were neck and neck throughout with the visitors from Connecticut dodging multiple Bearcats bullets. With UC catching a number of bad breaks over the course of the game, a flip over UC's back line by UConn's Austin Dasilva to the AAC's leading goal scorer, Abdou Mbacke Thiam, in the 79th minute was the difference. UC had the advantage in shots on goal, 6-3, and corner kicks, 6-2. Of the Huskies very few scoring opportunities, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Pearce Skinner (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) turned away two.
// SCOUTING TEMPLE
On Oct. 7, Temple suffered a 2-1 loss against Memphis. Senior Divin Fula Luzolo scored the squad's only goal of the match. The freshman scored within the first 12 seconds of the match after capitalizing on a Drexel turnover. Sophomore Thibault Candia is the Owls' leading scorer with five goals so far in 2017. Camacho Soto follows with four. Grasela and senior Joonas Jokinen have scored three and two, respectively. The Owls lead the conference in goals with 17, shots with 172, and assists with 11.

Daniel Oginni (Mississauga, Ontario/King's Christian Collegiate) and Ryan Melink (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) also added scores.
