• The Bearcats traveled to No. 21 Wichita State on Friday and fell 3-0 despite putting forth a strong effort
• The Shockers took set one 25-22 before the Bearcats tested them in the second set, which fell to WSU 30-28
• Wichita State completed the match victory with a 25-19 set three win
• Erica Kostelac led Cincinnati with 15 kills
• Carly Nolan finished with 14 kills and eight digs

Cincinnati and SMU have met a total a ten times with UC winning just once. Earlier this season, the Bearcats dropped a heart-breaking, five-set match to the Mustangs with the fifth set going to a final score of 21-19. UC's lone win came last season in front of a record crowd of 2,018 at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats took all three sets in that victory.

Tulsa sits below the Bearcats in conference rankings at 4-6. The Golden Hurricane is 10-12 overall this season. Last weekend Tulsa lost 3-1 at Temple then swept UConn in Storrs. The Golden Hurricane opened American play with a win against Houston. They have also beat UCF and Memphis. Tulsa will host ECU on Thursday before hosting the Bearcats on Saturday.
