TULSA, Okla.
– University of Cincinnati men's soccer will visit the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Saturday for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff at Hurricane Stadium in its final road American Athletic Conference match of the season.

Following a three-game homestand, the Bearcats enter the match at 7-7-1 overall and 0-5-0 in league play, while the Golden Hurricane, who will celebrate its Senior Night Saturday, sits at 4-8-1 on the year and 1-4-0 in conference competition. Tulsa is 2-4-1 at home in 2017.
 
// LAST TIME OUT
UC erased an early-match deficit with a come-from-behind, 2-1, victory over the Cleveland State Vikings on Tuesday night at Gettler Stadium. Freshman midfielder Mason Volker's (St. Leon, Ind./East Central) match-tying score in the 38th minute was his first goal of the season, while redshirt sophomore Ryan Melink's (Loveland, Ohio) game-winning PK in the 76th minute was his second score of the year. UC dominated the game with 14 total shots, including eight on goal, as well as four corner kicks. Freshman goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mitchellville, Md.) continued his strong play in goal with a pair of saves to bring his season total to 22 in six matches.  
 
// SCOUTING TULSA
The Golden Hurricane has lost its last three matches and have come up short in five of its last six. Most recently, Tulsa fell 2-1 in double overtime Tuesday against St. Louis at Hurricane Stadium. Kay Duit scored the opening goal of the match. On the season, Rollie Rocha and Miguel Velasquez both have a team-best three goals to lead Tulsa, while Munashe Raranje, Gustavo Vargas and Kay Duit each have two scores. Marcel Da Silva and Cooper Clark have combined for 45 saves and two shutouts this season. In the preseason, the Golden Hurricane was picked to finish second in the conference with Juan Sanchez and Zack Stavrou named to the all-league team.   
 
// TULSA SERIES
The Golden Hurricane leads the all-time series 3-0-1. Tulsa beat UC, 3-1, last season in Cincinnati. In the last meeting between the two teams in Tulsa, the Red & Black was edged 1-0 in 2014. The Bearcats' only result against the Hurricane was a 1-1 double-overtime draw at Gettler Stadium in 2015.
 
// LAWRENCE HONORED
Lawrence was selected to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. He earned the accolade after totaling 11 saves, including a shutout, last week as the Bearcats went 1-1. The rookie turned away four shots for his first-collegiate clean sheet in a 4-0 home win over Fort Wayne on Oct. 18. Lawrence followed with a career-high seven saves in a 2-0 home setback to No. 14 SMU on Oct. 21.
 
// YOUTH MOVEMENT
Seven Bearcats newcomers have seen action this year with each recording at least one start. The group has also scored 11 goals. Freshman midfielder Sean Clarke (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) has been a catalyst among the newcomers with four goals and two assists, while freshman forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) has contributed four goals and a helper. Volker, freshman Soren Jensen (Gentofte, Denmark), and junior midfielder Malik Suleman (Kumasi, Ghana/Cincinnati State) have each scored a goal, while freshman Mads Tranberg (Copenhagen, Denmark) has dished out an assist. Lawrence has been stingy with 22 saves and one shutout in six matches.
