MACON, Ga. – University of Cincinnati women's golf finished day one at the Mercer Idle Hour Collegiate Championship in a tie for sixth place following a first round 311 and a second round 313 at the Idle Hour Golf & Country Club.
Sophomore Alyssa Burritt (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) paced the Red & Black on Monday with a first round 75, featuring two birdies, and a second round 78, with a pair of birdies as well, to slot into a tie for 10th place out of approximately 70 golfers. Freshman Angela Lopez (Bogotá, Colombia) showed strong as well with a two-round 155 to place in a tie for 18th place. Competing as an individual, junior Elizabeth Keeling (Knoxville, Tenn./Farragut) climbed to a tie for 21st with a first round 77 and a second round 79 totaling three birdies on the day. As a team, the Bearcats holed 20 birdies on Monday.
