// COMMENTS FROM COACH WHITE
"That is a great team, UConn was good today. It was very close, obviously someone had to win. We appreciated the match because they were so good and so tough offensively. I think it raised our level of play. I think our response in the second set was great. We made plays after twenty, which was huge. And then Coach [Kevin] Carroll said [after the second set] that we weren't blocking the right places. We were watching the ball too much. And we came out and blocked eight balls in one set. I'm glad he's with us. The big thing is – I hope you don't ask me who played well because this is another conference match where we had nine people, with our serving subs, everyone contributed. I think the big thing for us is we definitely gained some mental toughness because everyone made some plays after twenty. In that fourth set we were down two points and they stayed in it. The confidence and the communication was great."

// SET BREAKDOWN
Set 1: UCONN, 26-24

• The Huskies took the first point of the match and remained ahead early until a Maya Muldrow kill tied the set at four. With the set tied again at eight, the Bearcats took their first lead of the night on a Huskies error and then took the lead on an ace by Carly Nolan. The set became tied up yet again, 12-12, but Muldrow had another kill off a Jade Tingelhoff assist to give UC another advantage. UConn would come back to go up 15-13, causing a UC timeout. Tingelhoff would earn a kill to tie the game at 16. The Bearcats then scored the next two points to take a two-point lead. That seemed to put the Bearcats in to their groove, as another Nolan ace made it a 20-17 set in favor of the visitors, leading to a Huskies timeout. However, UConn would make things interesting, tying the match at 24 before going up 25-24. After a UC timeout, UConn would win the set on an attack error.

Set 2: UC, 25-23
• The Huskies would take the first point of the set but the Bearcats would answer back by taking the next two. Down by one, UC scored three straight to go ahead 8-6. A block by Jasmine Jones and Tingelhoff kept the Bearcats ahead 9-8. That block was the start of a 3-0 run for UC. The Huskies once again worked back to tie the set at 14-14 and again at 17-17. Set two would be a close finish as the set was tied at both 21 and 22. A kill by Kostelac would put the Bearcats up, but the Huskies tied it once again, 23-23. This time, though, UC would prevail as a UConn attack error and a block by Jones and Tingelhoff would award UC the final two points of the set.

Set 3: UC, 25-13
• Tied 3-3, UC scored the next two points on a UConn attack error and block by Jones and Elly Ogle. Another block later on, this one by Tingelhoff and Muldrow, put the Bearcats' advantage at three, 10-7. The Huskies then called the first timeout of the set, but it would not hinder the Bearcats' momentum. Tingelhoff had a kill, Jones and Muldrow had a block and Stamatiou had a kill to start an impressive 6-0 run to make it a 17-8 lead. UC grew that lead to ten, 23-13, before putting the set away on a Nolan kill.

Set 4: UC, 25-23
The momentum stayed on the Bearcats side of the court as Ogle had the first point on a kill and Jones and Tingelhoff earned the next point on a block. The Huskies were able to make it a one-point game, but UC was always able to remain ahead early on. Out of a 10-10 tie, UConn took its first lead of the set, but it was quickly tied again after a Kostleac kill. The Bearcats went back in the lead on another kill by Kostelac. UConn got ahead 15-14, but a kill by Muldrow tied the set again. Later on and down by two, an ace by Maya Eller made it just a one-point deficit for UC. The set was tied at 22 after a UConn attack error. The Bearcats ended it by going up by one on an attack error and closing things out on a Nolan kill the very next play.
