CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team was listed at No. 12 in the preseason Associated Press Poll released Wednesday, Nov. 1. 

It marks UC's highest preseason ranking in the AP poll since prior to the 1999-2000 campaign when the Bearcats were listed second. 

The Bearcats received a No. 13 rankings in the preseason USA Today Coaches Poll on Oct. 19. 

American Athletic Conference newcomer Wichita State was listed seventh in the preseason AP poll. Other upcoming Bearcats opponents included in the poll were Florida (eighth), Xavier (No. 17), UCLA (No. 21), SMU (receiving votes) and UCF (receiving votes). 

Cincinnati returns its top three scorers from last season's squad that won 30 games, posted an undefeated home record and earned its seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

League coaches picked the Bearcats to win The American at the conference media day on Oct. 16.

Cincinnati plays its first exhibition game of the preseason on Wednesday when the Bearcats travel to Louisville, Kentucky, to take on Division II power Bellarmine in Freedom Hall. The game tips at 7 p.m. ET. There is no television, internet stream or radio broadcast for the contest. 

The Bearcats play host to Division II Embry-Riddle on Sunday at BB&T Arena. The contest starts at 2 p.m. and will be streamed live via BEARCATS TV on GoBearcats.com. Tickets can be purchased at the BB&T Arena box office starting at 12:30 p.m. Lower-level seats are $10 while upper-level seats are $5. 

UC opens the 2017-18 regular season on Nov. 10 against Savannah State at BB&T Arena. The game tips at noon.

UC Athletics announced Wednesday that men's basketball season tickets are sold out for the coming 2017-18 season at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

It marks the first time Bearcats' season tickets have sold out since the 1999-2000 campaign. 

BB&T Arena serves as the 2017-18 home of Bearcats basketball while UC's on-campus venue, Fifth Third Arena, undergoes an $87 million renovation prior to reopening in fall 2018. 

UC Athletics also announced that all tickets for the Wichita State contest on Feb. 18 at BB&T Arena are sold out. 

Tickets for all other games remain available but are going fast. A limited number of five-game mini plans, starting at $150, offer Bearcats fans the option to pick two from contests against UConn, SMU or Mississippi State, as well as three other games of their choice.

Any remaining single-game tickets will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 6, through BB&T Arena and Ticketmaster.
