CINCINNATI
– University of Cincinnati men's soccer will welcome the UCF Knights to Gettler Stadium on Senior Night Saturday for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Admission to the match will be free as part of the Experience UC initiative.
 
// EXPERIENCE UC
All home matches in 2017 will be part of the Experience UC initiative which is geared toward inviting the community to campus to see firsthand the great things about and surrounding the University. Experience UC includes free admission for patrons attending women's basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, women's tennis, men's and women's soccer, swimming and diving and track and field home events. 
 
// GOING LIVE
All home matches in 2017 will once again be streamed live on BearcatsTV and, this year, will all be free. The link to the live stream can be found on the men's soccer schedule page. On the same page, links to live stats can also be found.
 
// MATCH PROMOTIONS
Prior to the match, seniors Jack Clark (Mason, Ohio/Mason) and Christian Hay (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) will be honored during a ceremony on the pitch. The game will also celebrate rUCkus Rewards Redemption Night. Concession specials will include $1 hot dogs. An autograph session will take place following the match as part of Signature Saturday.
 
// LAST TIME OUT
UC (7-8-1, 0-6-0 AAC) fell 1-0 to Tulsa at Hurricane Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Oct. 28. Penalty kicks proved to be the difference in the match with UC turning one away midway through the first half but conceding one late in the second half on Tulsa's senior night. The Red & Black totaled eight shots and a pair of corner kicks. Freshman goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mitchelville, Md.) was strong between the pipes with a career-best nine saves.
 
// SCOUTING UCF
The Knights (6-5-2, 3-2-1 AAC) are on a six-match unbeaten streak after earning victories against FAU (3-0), No. 22 UConn (3-2), Tulsa (3-0), Florida Atlantic (3-0) and Temple (1-0), as well as notching a 1-1 (2OT) draw vs. Memphis. With a victory against the Bearcats, UCF will finish in the top four of the conference standings and advance to The American Championship on Nov. 10-12 at the site of the regular season champion. Matias Pyysalo leads the Knights with 10 goals and five assists. Cal Jennings contributes six scores and four helpers. Goalkeeper Matthew Rosenberg has 15 saves and three shutouts on the year.
 
// UCF SERIES
UCF leads the all-time series 5-0-0, including 2-0-0 in matches played at Cincinnati. The Bearcats have come up short by just one goal in every meeting such as, most recently, a 1-0 setback in Tampa last season. In the last matchup between the two teams at Gettler, UCF bested UC, 3-2.
 
// LAWRENCE HONORED
Lawrence was picked for the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday by the league office. He garnered the honor after notching 11 saves in two matches last week including a collegiate-high nine at Tulsa. On the season, Lawrence has 31 saves, a 75.6 percent save percentage, and one shutout in seven matches. Lawrence has now been honored by the conference three times this season including, previously, being selected to the honor roll on Oct. 23.
 
// YOUTH MOVEMENT
Seven Bearcats newcomers have seen action this year with each recording at least one start. The group has also scored 11 goals. Freshman midfielder Sean Clarke (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) has been a catalyst among the newcomers with four goals and two assists, while freshman forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) has contributed four goals and a helper. Freshman midfielder Mason Volker (St. Leon, Ind./East Central), freshman Soren Jensen (Gentofte, Denmark), and junior midfielder Malik Suleman (Kumasi, Ghana/Cincinnati State) have each scored a goal, while freshman Mads Tranberg (Copenhagen, Denmark) has dished out an assist. Lawrence has been stingy with 31 saves and one shutout in seven matches.
