The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly honorees for swimming and diving on Tuesday with the University of Cincinnati's Mitch Godar recognized as the Men's Diver of the Week, his third award this season.

Godar put up impressive performances at the Mizzou Invitational this past weekend. In 1-meter diving, he posted a score of 291.80 to finish in sixth place. His 3-meter score was even better, as he posted a 313.00 to finish fourth in the event. For the first time this season Godar competed in the 2-meter where he finished fifth with a score of 259.10.

Godar's score of 337.50 on the 1-meter earlier this season remains the highest in the conference while his platform score is also the best in the American. He ranks fifth in the conference in 3-meter.

The Bearcat divers will return to action November 30 at the Miami Diving Invitational in Oxford, Ohio. The event will run through December 2. Select swimmers will compete at the US Winter Nationals in Columbus during that same period.
