TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's golf head coach Janet Carl announced Wednesday the signing of Erin Evans to a National Letter of Intent for the 2018-19 season.
Ranked No. 609 nationally in the 2018 class by Junior Golf Scoreboard, Evans (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) shot a 71 at the 2017 IHSAA regional championship as the Padres finished second.
"Erin brings with her a deep desire to continue to learn how to get the most out of her game," said Carl. "She brings a solid high school career. Her desire to learn is a quality that we found in her as a recruit along with being a fighter on the course. We are looking forward to having Erin join our team."
Also in 2017, Evans totaled a pair of top-20 overall finishes including placing 14th – out of 39 golfers – at the Indiana Junior Golf Masters Tour Championship.
At UC, she has plans to pursue a degree in the world-renowned College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).
