The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving program competes for the first time in 2018 this Friday at Miami University in nearby Oxford, Ohio. The meet is set to start at 11 a.m.

• Miami's women's team is 2-2 entering the new year while the men are 0-2
• The RedHawk women beat Michigan State and Bowling Green and lost to Purdue and Akron

• In the last competition of 2017, Miami women won its own invitational with a total of 1,480 points while the men finished third with 762 points

• UC's men currently sit in first place in the American Athletics Conference. The women rank third out of six teams

• Din Selmanovic holds the best time in the 100 free and teammate Justin Crew ranks third

• In the 1,000 free, Bready has the fastest finish this season while Selmanovic is second. Tyler Jones has the third-fastest time, as the Bearcats dominate the event
