OXFORD, Ohio – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving competed at the University of Miami (OH) on Friday afternoon with the men winning 158-142 and the women dropping the contest 159.5-140.5

// WINNERS
• UC's men started the day with a win in the 400 yard medley relay. Remington Oland, Zach Hostoffer, William Sigala and Justin Crew finished with a time of 3:23:67
Chris Bready was first to the wall in the 1,000 yard free, coming in at 9:08:78
• The Bearcats took the next men's event, the 200 yard free. Toby Van Dyke finished first with a time of 1:41:18
• The women picked up their first victory as Lindsey Niehaus took first in the 100 yard backstroke at 56:41
Zach Hostoffer won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 57:47
Simone Palomo picked up a victory in the 200 yard butterfly. She finished in 2:04:88
• Niehaus took her second event of the day with a 24:02 winning finish in the 50 freestyle
• UC's men followed with another win in the same event. William Sigala came in at 21:15 for the victory
• At the first break for diving, Mitch Godar won 1-meter diving by scoring 303.67
Dee Sopapong won the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18:31
Zach Baecker followed with a victory in the men's 200 yard breaststroke, swimming it in 2:05:53
Din Selmanovic won the 500 yard free with a time of 4:28:61
Katherine Gob was first to the wall in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 56:57
• The Bearcat women finished up their day with a first place finish in the 400 yard freestyle. Niehaus, Claire Farrell, Maddie Exton and Gob won it in 3:29:61
• Cincinnati also took the men's 400 yard freestyle. Sigala, Baecker, Van Dyke and Selmanovic all added another win, finishing in 3:04:18

• The Bearcats return home to the Keating Aquatic Center next Friday. UC will host Xavier and Virginia Tech beginning at 5 p.m.
