The American Athletic Department announced its swimmers and divers of the week on Tuesday with University of Cincinnati's Mitch Godar named the Men's Diver of the Week and Ellen Posch named the Women's Diver of the Week.
With the award, Godar has earned six AAC Diver of the Week recognitions this season. He placed fourth in the 3-meter and fifth in the 1-meter at Kentucky last Friday before posting season-high numbers at home on Saturday. The senior closed out his Keating Aquatic Center career with a 343.70 on 1-meter and 351.90 on 3-meter. He remains the conference leader in 1-meter while that 3-meter score placed him second this season. Godar now ranks in the top-three all-time at UC in both events.
Posch also posted her best scores this season while nearing the end of her Bearcats career. The senior posted a fourth and fifth-place finish against top-ranked Kentucky. She followed that with a 269.10 in 1-meter and 305.80 in 3-meter, winning both in Saturday's senior day meet. With her performance, Posch qualified for NCAA zones. She is the fourth UC diver to qualify this season, the most in program history.
