CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's basketball will return to the friendly confines of Saint Ursula Academy Gymnasium & Convocation Center on Saturday, Feb. 10 for a 1 p.m. tipoff against the Tulane Green Wave for its annual Wear Red game. Admission will be free of charge as part of the season-long Experience UC initiative.

Due to the current, $87-million renovation of Fifth Third Arena, the Bearcats will play all home contests off campus this year. In the regular season, UC will play two games at Cincinnati State – the Nov. 13 home opener against Slippery Rock and the Nov. 27 meeting with St. Francis (Pa.) – with the remaining games played at Saint Ursula Academy Gymnasium & Convocation Center (SUA).

In the last matchup between the two teams in the Queen City, the Red & Black was edged, 74-68, in overtime on Jan. 28, 2017. Forward Shanice Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara/Monroe CC) recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Owens scored 15.

Tulane (12-12, 4-7 AAC) picked up a 69-65 home victory over the Temple Owls on Wednesday night in New Orleans. Senior guard Kolby Morgan scored a game-high 25 points for the Green Wave and junior forward Meredith Schulte scored 14.
For the season, Tulane is led by Morgan's 20.0 points each game – good for third-best in the league – and her 1.7 steals a contest. Sophomore guard Kayla Manuirirangi follows with 9.3 points per and paces the team in assists with 4.0 each outing. Additionally, junior center Harlyn Wyatt grabs a team-best 6.2 rebounds a contest.
The Green Wave is second in The American, knocking down 35 percent of its 3-point attempts. Tulane rounds out the top three in the league in assists with 15.0 per game. Furthermore, TU scores 64.0 points each contest and gives up 64.4 to its opponents. The Wave shoots at a 40.9-percent clip from the field and gets outrebounded by its opponents on average, 36.0-39.0.
