TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati senior forward Kyle Washington (Champlin, Minn./NC State) has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
Washington averaged a team-high 15.0 points while shooting 66.7 percent (14 of 21) from the field with 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks as Cincinnati increased its win streak to a nation's best 16 games following wins over UCF and SMU last week.
The left-hander scored a team-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field with a team-high eight rebounds and a pair of blocks during UC's 76-51 road win at SMU on Feb. 11. Earlier in the week, he tallied 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor with three blocks in 17 minutes during the Bearcats' 77-40 home win over UCF on Feb. 6.
Washington is shooting 53.0 percent (115 of 217) from the field while averaging 11.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks this season.
Over the last six games, Washington is averaging a team-best 13.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks while shooting 55.0 percent (33 of 60) from the field with six three-pointers.
Since the start of league play, Washington ranks among the conference leaders in blocks (first at 1.9), rebounds (eighth at 6.3), defensive rebounds (eighth at 4.3), field goal percentage (12th at .508) and points (18th at 12.5).
