The University of Cincinnati baseball team will begin its first season under Head Coach Scott Googins this weekend as it travels to the West Coast for four games. The Bearcats will visit San Diego and take on the Toreros for two games and the Golden Bears of California for one game starting Saturday, February 17.

• He made the move across town after 12 seasons as the head coach at Xavier where he was the all-time winningest coach
• Googins has a career head coaching record of 341-357
• He led the Musketeers to six regular season or conference tournament championships and four NCAA postseason appearances, including back-to-back regional finals berths in 2016 and 2017
